The New Jewel to the Moe Moe Crown: Meet out latest MoeLab artist, Joan Blond
We first saw Joan’s artwork featured on The Block last year and it was love at first sight. Working out of the Yarra Valley, Joan creates unique and captivatingly vibrant art in her distinct “Joan Blond” style. Our commissioned piece, “The Jewelled Landscape” (very apt name for our jewellery collab) hangs proudly here at Moe Moe HQ.
Joan herself is a very intriguing and charismatic woman with an out-of-the-box-story... her life wasn’t always about pretty colours, acrylic paints and canvases. Fortunately, Joan’s mother taught her a love for art and painting - and it’s only in the recent years that Joan dove back in to creating beautiful things; and how lucky are we all that she made that decision! Today Joan’s art is held by private collectors all over the world in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, America and Hong Kong. With two solo exhibitions under her belt, Joan’s incredible art can be found in galleries big or small.
